A complete reference to drawing Japanese kana and a thorough database of kanji and their stroke order.

Theres a short introduction to the Japanese script and charts for both hiragana and katakana, featuring clear animations of how each character should be drawn. Exceptional pronunciation and usage has been highlighted when necessary. The syllables have been organized into categories that are easy to browse and intuitive for the learner.

In the kanji reference section, you can search by reading or meaning, by typing in the kanji itself, or by Unicode value. The interface is responsive and fast. Thousands of kanji are available, including stroke order animation for most of them.

Credits for the Kanji section:
The kanji database is from the KANJIDIC2 project, while the kanji stroke data is derived from the KanjiVG project.
